      Half-Off Admission to Chicago History Museum!  For 7 dollars you can soak in all the history of Chicago for what would normally cost you 14!  You can purchase up to 10 tickets.  Think how much you would save (both your sanity and your money) with this deal over the summer months when your kids are asking the proverbial “what’s to do?  I’m bored!”

      Save $20 at Indiana Beach Amusement Resort!  Located in Monticello, Indiana.  For $19 (normally $39.95!)  you can enjoy the rides and water park at this fun resort.  Another idea to fill up the upcoming summer months…

                C and Tommy by Miss M

                C loves Tommy.  C has a boyfriend named Tommy.  She plays with him.  Tommy is 1.  His birthday is in September.  Tommy has a big sister.  She is 3.  And in kindergarten, Tommy has a older brother.  His name is Sam.  Sam is a part of the boy’s team and I am too.  I am the only girl in the club.  I also have a friend named Brodey.  I am Brodey’s helper.  He is the boss of all the boys and I am his helper.

                i sit at brodey’s table.  I also sit with Yusef and Athena.  And Yusef is also a part of the boy’s team.  Brodey has a lot of helpers and my friend Chase is a part of the boy’s team too.  He also has a twin sister named Skyler.  And i have to go now.

                Yesterday, May 23rd, marked the beginning of Sew Mama Sew‘s Giveaway Day.  It is an awesome event where you can win some really neat handcrafted items from around the world.  You can also win sewing and knitting supplies/materials if you are of the crafty persuasion.
                Go to Sew Mama Sew and click on any of the three categories: Handcrafted Item(s) + Supplies/Materials, Sewing + Knitting Supplies/Materials, Handcrafted Item.  Under each of these is an enormous list of blogs/websites that are participating in giveaway day.  Most of the giveaways are not open for very long so I would suggest you not wait to check this out!  With so many giveaways to choose from, there is a good chance that some of them might have low entries as well!

                  Ode to a Two Year Old

                  On Saturday, my youngest daughter, “C” turned two.  Below is my letter to her.

                  Dear C,

                  You are now two and thank goodness!  I am so happy to say that there are no more babies in this house nor will there ever be (at least coming from me!)  You are officially a toddler and a strong willed one at that.  You hold your own against your 6 1/2 year old sister and we all respect you for that.  You are quick to give a hug and love to be held.  I can’t tell you how many times a day I hear the words “hold you” from you to be picked up.  And what do we do?  We pick you up because you are the baby of the family.  The next year holds many new experiences/challenges for you that will take you even further away from being a baby.  Some of which are to start going on the potty (we hope!) and giving up your binkie (we hope!)  We know that everything will be accomplished in your own time.

                  I am so thankful that you are not my first born.  Your sister made me a mom for the first time but I believe you have made me an even better mom.  You have taught me patience and comfort in the knowledge that I do not know everything there is to know about motherhood.  You see, your sister had me fooled.  She was such an easy baby that I thought this parenting stuff was no big deal, easy peasy.  You have taught me otherwise.  I now know to never judge another parent’s decisions or actions because they too might have a Miss C in their midst.  And that is a good thing.

                  So, Happy Birthday, Miss C!  May God’s Blessings shine on you today and always.
